OUR MISSION
Our mission is to create a second life for your brownfield property. By investing in brownfield-locations, we contribute to recovery of old industrial areas and giving the locations a second life. A circular approach, in which we manage the investment and redevelopment of existing industrial locations by updating the zoning-plan and infrastructure.
With brownfield recovery,
we focus on reusing and future-proofing former industrial sites through re-parcelling and circular use of land.
A SECOND LIFE FOR INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY
In a world with limited recources every location counts. So we need to take care of locations with building at the end of their
life-cycle. We need to make these locations available again for re-use. These locations need to be made available again for a second life in a sustainable way. Through remediation and restructuring these locations can be upgrated to meet contemporary requirements.
THE COMPLEXITY OF BROWNFIELD

Brownfield re-development is a complex process which requires detailed expertise of environmental contamination and regulatory approval processes. The complexity and uniqueness of these brownfields developments makes these projects more challenging than greenfield locations. It requires long term strategy thinking and knowledge of developing new eco-systems.
With our expertise and experience we are able to create momentum on landplots that require high upfront capital costs for remediation.

Our mission is
to re-use industrial land
and harvest greenfields
from brownfields.
BREEAM
NL Real Estate Recovery encourages sustainable land use, habitat protection and creation, and improvement of long term biodiversity for the building's site and surrounding land. Topics covered relate to the re-use of brownfield sites or those of low ecological value, mitigation and enhancement of ecology, and long term biodiversity management.

Site selection
Recognition of the re-use of previously developed and contaminated land where appropriate remediation has taken place.
Ecological value of site and protection of
ecological features
Minimising impact on existing site ecology
Recognition of steps taken to avoid impacts on existing site ecology.
Enhancing site ecology
Recognition of steps taken to enhance site ecology through the advice of a sustaiably qualified ecologist.
Long term impact on biodiversity
The production of long term landscape and habitat management plan to encourage measures that improve the sites long term biodiversity.
Recognition of the use of sites of 'low ecological value', and the protection of existing features prior to and during site operations
